✨ POV: You realize it’s your first time hearing about me ✨

Oh hi, let me lead with the more formal part you came here for: I’m Eva Zar, a New York City based director and photographer. Over the past decade, I had the chance to do a couple of awesome things: I’ve worked with clients like Neutrogena, Pinterest, Fenty Beauty, New York Times, Universal Music, Audi (selected client list below︎︎︎) - I also shot fabulous people like Ari Lennox, Kim Petras, Noah Cryus, Nathalie Emmanuel, Michelle Wolf, Sophia Roe, Yrsa Daley-Ward and many more.

I was recently intereviewed by Rich Tu for his podcast First Gen Burden where he described my work as Soft but not Vulnerable and felt at home with this definition.

Growing up as a Third Culture Kid, I‘ve been searching for the feeling of home my entire life. In my “research” I  found it’s not really a geographical place - it’s community, it’s connecting with people beyond cultural and language barriers. Through my work, I’ve been lucky enough to find it.

Highlights include seeing my work on Times Square a couple of times, judging the renowned ADC Annual Awards, being shortlisted for Young Guns and creating an OOH campaign that ran across 39 train stations in Tokyo, Japan - all while having pretty good snack options on set (ice cream trucks and margarita machines included).
